Occupational Therapy
Neuro occupational therapy at Concussion Care Centre is focused on helping individuals post-concussion return to meaningful daily life roles and activities. Our goal is to empower our clients to manage their post-concussion symptoms and to promote self-directed recovery. We use an evidence-informed approach to tailor treatment to each client’s unique goals and needs while providing specialized cognitive rehabilitation and lifestyle management post-concussion rehabilitation services. Lifestyle Management is a treatment approached pioneered at the University of Southern California. It is based on the understanding that lifestyle choices are powerful for promoting health and wellness. Using a Lifestyle Management approach, Dr. Sheard empowers individuals to identify barriers to healthy lifestyles and she then guides them to develop and implement personalized solutions to those barriers.
